Search for a file in ".kodi/userdata/addon_data//temp". What I have found is that the addon still downloaded the subtitle file in a temp diectory. At times you may get an error (maybe because it finds a zip file for a whole season of shows, etc) and be told to check the error log file. You can then search for subtitles and try to load them. To do this simply go to the Addons section and add a free subtitles service such as "Super Subtitles". Adding a Subtitle ServiceĪnother thing for consideration is to add a default subtitle service so that you can search for subtitles and potentially save them for later use. Now when in a movie - popup the subtitle screen and make sure to use “Download subtitle…” to load a local subtitle file and the screen will popup allowing you to select the file.
